Sweet & Sour Meatballs

Grandma loves Pineapple!

This is a true labour of love (although it doesn’t have to be).  I have never handmade meatballs before; and although they taste pretty awesome- my busy schedule would rather start this out with store-bought meatballs 🙂

meatballsOtherwise – the sauce is incredibly quick & simple.  Just dump it all in your largest skillet, add the cooked meatballs & let it simmer :). It would also make a good crockpot meatball recipe.

I made my meatballs out of 1/2 ground chicken & 1/2 pork as we aren’t a big pork family :).  It made about 50 large meatballs.  Grandma says it serves 6.  So about 8-9 meatballs each.  Serve with pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, and/or a side salad or veggies!

meatball_dinnerSo her recipe indicates that the process takes 50 min.  She’s right. Shorten it to 15 minutes with a package of pre-cooked meatballs.

And here is her recipe card and the printable recipe!
