Banana Bread

bananaBread_loafThe same night I made Cranberry Bread I whipped up a loaf of Banana Bread.  My Dad says this was practically a staple in the Hood house. They both cook a long time, but this one a bit shorter; I was able to mix the ingredients and prep the loaf just as the Cranberry Bread had the right amount of time left in the oven!

banana_bread_sliceA lot of Grandma’s recipes do not have instructions.  I started out with wet ingredients; added dry ingredients & finally my “extras”. Also, I did a bit of googling to find an average cooking time :). I wonder why she left some of these details out? Did she have it memorized? Were ovens inconsistent (when the recipe was created)?  Hmm

Here is her recipe card & the printable recipe!bananaBread_recipeCard
