Today is a cold chilly day, and we finally put away our Patio Furniture. \u00a0A perfect way to warm up with some Apple Crisp. \u00a0If you are like me, you prefer Apple Crisp warm and without ice cream – it’s just sooo good!<\/p>\n

I used about 10 medium apples. I always heap the apples above the dish, as they shrink, and no one wants a thin apple crisp!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This Apple Crisp is no exception. \u00a0The only difference I found from my standard recipe was that I packed the topping down vs loosely scattering it. \u00a0It turned out great!<\/p>\n

Apple Crisp<\/h3>\n

  • 5 cups sliced, peeled Tart apples<\/li>\n
  • 1 cup brown sugar<\/li>\n
  • 3\/4 cup flour<\/li>\n
  • 3\/4 cup Quick Oats<\/li>\n
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon<\/li>\n
  • 1\/2 cup butter (or margarine)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    1. Arrange apples in a buttered 9 inch pie plate.<\/li>\n
    2. Mix dry ingredients together. Cut in softened butter.<\/li>\n
    3. Press over Apples.<\/li>\n
    4. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 – 50 minutes or until Apples are tender.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      TIP: an 8×8 square baking dish will also work if you do not have a pie plate.<\/h6>\n<\/div>\n
