This salad is often referred to as the “Green & Yellow Salad” in our house. \u00a0It is not everyone’s favourite, but some love it! \u00a0I brought this salad to our Thanksgiving gathering tonight, and only a serving or two was left!<\/p>\n

Again, the younger crowd had never seen a Jello Mold… \u00a0But, every North American feast needs Jello! \ud83d\ude09 \u00a0I omitted the Olives on 1 half, and even a lot of Grandma’s sons do not remember Olives in her ‘Green & Yellow Salad’. \u00a0Truthfully, the\u00a0salads\u00a0are kind of fun – I may start making more!<\/p>\n

Green & Yellow Salad (Lemon Lime)<\/h3>\n

Top Layer<\/h6>\n
    \n
  • 1 Lemon Jello<\/li>\n
  • 1 cup hot water<\/li>\n
  • 8 oz Cottage cheese<\/li>\n
  • 1\/2 pint of whipping cream<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    Bottom Layer<\/h6>\n
      \n
    • 1 Lime Jello<\/li>\n
    • 1 cup hot water<\/li>\n
    • 1\/3 cup chopped walnuts<\/li>\n
    • 1\/3 cup chopped olives<\/li>\n
    • 1 small tin crushed pineapple<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Top Layer instructions:<\/h4>\n
        \n
      1. Mix the jello & water and let set partially (approx 30min-1hr depending on how hot your water was).<\/li>\n
      2. Fold in cottage cheese & whipping cream.\u00a0 <\/span>Put in ring mold.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Bottom Layer instructions:<\/h4>\n
          \n
        1. Mix the jello & water and let set partially. (Do this the same time as the top layer)<\/li>\n
        2. Fold in walnuts, olives & pineapple.\u00a0 <\/span>Put in ring mold on top of yellow layer.<\/li>\n
        3. Refrigerate for at least an additional hour.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
