Just in time for the weekend!
\nThis recipe is a delicious Turkey dinner leftover option… BUT\u00a0more often than not I make this recipe using chicken instead of turkey as it is readily available in our house and this salad is just so good!\u00a0Everywhere I bring this salad, everyone likes it – and it’s not going to be just another pasta salad or caesar salad at a potluck!<\/p>\n

The curry flavour is just a slight hint and mostly adds colour to the salad. \u00a0As per usual, it has Grandma’s pineapples in it for a great sweet & juicy burst.<\/p>\n

Here is Grandma’s recipe (looks like she stole a Library card – shh, I won’t tell! hee hee):<\/p>\n

Curried Turkey Salad<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • 2\/3 cup sour cream<\/li>\n
  • 2\/3 cup mayonnaise<\/li>\n
  • 1\/2 teaspoon curry powder<\/li>\n
  • 2 tablespoon raisins<\/li>\n
  • 3 tablespoons minced onion<\/li>\n
  • 2 tablespoons grated raw carrot<\/li>\n
  • 2 cups pineapple tidbits (approx 1 tin), drained<\/li>\n
  • 1 1\/2 cups diced celery<\/li>\n
  • 3 cups cooked & cubed turkey (or chicken)<\/li>\n
  • 1\/4 cup almond slices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Directions:<\/h4>\n
      \n
    1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl (except almonds)<\/li>\n
    2. Garnish with almond slices.<\/li>\n
    3. Refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
